July 4th Downtown Pensacola
The peak of the summer vacation season in Pensacola is July 4th, unlike our neighbors to the east in Destin, Pensacola has open hotel rooms! Since finding a place to stay is easy, we want to concentrate on what to do when you get here. The best spot to be for July 4th in Pensacola is the Sertoma’s event Downtown at Seville Square. This is the 22nd year this event will be held and it’s the Southeast Tourism Society top 20 events! The fireworks start at 9:00 PM and go off over the bay but come early, from 11AM-6PM there will be free children’s activities, food, and entertainment. Free Things to Do in Pensacola
Being that our blog is about discount hotels and attractions, we have decided to highlight 3 free things to do in Pensacola. There is nothing better than saving money on your vacation to Pensacola!
One of the area’s most well known free attractions is the Naval Aviation Museum. This location is actually the largest Naval Aviation Museum in the world. Located about 20 minutes from Pensacola Beach, this free thing to do is definitely worth the drive.
Another free thing to do in Pensacola is catch the Blue Angels practicing. Generally you can catch the Blue Angels for free on Tuesday and Wednesday morning. The best view is offered at the Naval Aviation Museum. So do both and have the day spent, without spending any money.
