The beaches of Penscola Beach, Navarre and Perdido Key

Pensacola Beach Oil Update: Today was another great day in Pensacola Beach and the surrounding areas. Although minor effects of the Gulf Oil Spill have been spotted in the area, the beaches remain clean and open for fun! The sporadic occurrence of tar balls have been limited and have not effected the beaches other than a minor inconvenience while clean up crews act swiftly. The tar balls range in size from 1/2 inch up to 3 inches in size. Currently close to 200 members of a clean up crew stand by ready to clean the beaches if needed. The shift of the winds and currents look favorable for the next few days and that is great news for the beaches. Harmless tar balls may be a slight eye-sore but other than that there is nothing to worry about. The lurking Oil Spill fall out has caused hotels in Pensacola Beach to slash their already low hotel room rates. If you are in search of cheap Pensacola Beach Hotels be sure to visit http://www.cheappensacolahotels.com/. If you are looking to out run the tar balls then head for Destin, FL just an hour east.
